(Delaware Water Gap, PA)—Mark Farner is slated to perform 51 live concert dates
across the USA this summer as he takes the stage on the 2014 Happy Together Tour
beginning June 5, in Biloxi, MS. and ending on August 27 in Pueblo, CO.
“With a line up like Flo & Eddie, Chuck Negron, Mitch Rider and Gary Lewis we can’t
help but be HAPPY TOGETHER, pinch me, I can’t wait,” exclaims the affable Farner
from his Michigan office.
The enigmatic Farner is best known as the co-founder of America’s premier power-trio,
Grand Funk Railroad. And, as the band’s front man, lead vocalist, lead guitarist and
primary songwriter, he propelled the Michigan band to multi-platinum superstardom as
one of Capitol Records top selling acts — even selling out New York’s Shea Stadium
faster than The Beatles!
Farner’s live delivery of the hits, “I’m Your Captain / Closer to Home,” “Some Kind of
Wonderful,” “The Loco-Motion,” “Bad Time (to be in Love),” and “We’re An American
Band” are the stuff of legend. Together with co-stars, The Turtles (featuring Flo and
Eddie), Chuck Negron Formerly of Three Dog Night, Mitch Ryder and The Detroit
Wheels and Gary Lewis and The Playboys, the tour promises to be a must see event for
classic rock fans.
